PARK(ing) Day is coming back to Knoxville! Join YES! Knoxville on Friday, September 18, as we transform downtown parking spaces into creative, vibrant, and community-focused public spaces.

PARK(ing) Day is a global event that temporarily transforms parking spaces into mini parks, art installations, gathering spaces, and other creative public amenities. It’s a chance to reimagine how we use our shared urban spaces—and have some fun while doing it!

Event Details

Date: Friday, September 18, 2026
Location: Market Street & Union Avenue, Downtown Knoxville
Setup: Begins at 9:00 AM, with spaces ready by 11:00 AM
Entry Fee: $65/$75 per space (we chose the space/you chose the space!) Early-bird pricing available through August 28th

General Schedule

9:00 AM — Setup begins
11:00 AM — PARK(ing) Day spaces open
4:30 PM — Competition/judging
5:30 PM — Competition concludes / teardown begins
6:00 PM — Bollards removed / street reopens
6:30 PM — All setups must be completely removed
